This is a Lachenal 48-Key Treble with brass reeds. It has been fitted with new pads, valves and straps, and been tuned to concert pitch (A=440hz).

This is an example of Lachenal’s more premium ‘tutor model’ concertina, with a much more decorative appearance than the more basic models. It is a concertina that would suit a beginner, and it would do the job of getting to grips with the system perfectly, before moving on to something with better quality reeds. It is a fairly responsive player with a nice, soft tone.
