This is a Wheatstone Aeola 61-Key Maccann with steel reeds. It has been fitted with new pads, valves and straps, and has been tuned to concert pitch (A=440hz).

Well you certainly won’t see many instruments like this around. This Aeola is made from Tortoiseshell which, although being a practice which we’re glad doesn’t happen anymore, has produced a beautiful concertina. It also has gold fittings making this an incredibly unique-looking instrument, alongside the red leather bellows. This is a rarity of a concertina that doesn’t appear very often.  It is a good player with a nice set of reeds and a balanced tone.

Due to the materials the concertina is made of, it is only available for purchase in the UK.
