This is a Wheatstone Aeola 57-Key Maccann with steel reeds (serial number 29023). It has been fitted with new pads, valves and straps, and has been tuned to concert pitch.

The 57-Key is generally accepted to be the most ideal-sized Maccann- the range extending down to a C on the right hand, but without the concertina being bigger, as versions with more buttons would be. This is a nice example- a very responsive player with a lovely set of reeds.
