This is a Wheatstone 67-Key Aeola Maccann with steel reeds. It has been fitted with new pads, valves and straps, and tuned to concert pitch (A=440hz). The serial number is 26307.

This is a very nice concertina with a Music Hall/variety show history. The case for it has an advertisement for a duo called ‘The Frostinas’, a female concertina duo made up of, what we believe to be, two sisters. The ends show signs of wear that you might expect from something that was played regularly in these kinds of shows, but it’s a great playing thing- very responsive with a lovely tone thanks to the top-end Wheatstone reeds. If you’re looking for a bigger Wheatstone Maccann, then this is almost at the top of the tree in terms of quality.
