This is a Lachenal Edeophone 55-Key Maccann with steel reeds. It has been fitted with new pads, valves, straps and bellows, and has been tuned to concert pitch.

The 55-Key Maccann usually falls a little short of what more serious Maccann players need, lacking a C at the bottom of the right hand, which a 57-Key has. This Edeophone, however, does have that C on the right hand that a 57-Key would have, making it much more desirable and useful than any other 55-Key. It also makes the instrument a little smaller than a 57-Key would usually be, which is always a good thing. It is a very nice player, responsive with a balanced tone.

Somebody has previously scratched small note names next to some of the buttons. It’s not particularly noticeable unless looked at close-up, but the price has been lowered due to this.
