This is a Lachenal 46-Key Maccann Duet with steel reeds. It has been fitted with new pads, straps and valves, and tuned to concert pitch (A=440hz).

The 46-Key is, more-often-than-not, an introductory level instrument to the Maccann system. It’s a great concertina for getting used to the system and figuring out how everything works, but most people who purchase a Maccann from us and get along with it will want to upgrade to a model with more buttons in due course to open up more possibilities. Having said that, this is a really nice instrument for somebody looking to either take that first step in the world of Maccanns or upgrade from their first wooden-ended Maccann of 46-Keys or less.
