This is a Wheatstone 26-Key C/G with steel reeds. It has been fitted with new pads and valves in recent years, and has been tuned to concert pitch.

This is fantastic concertina, and much better than it should be considering it is from Wheatstone’s period of manufacturing after they switched from a riveted action to a hook and lever action- we had to check that it wasn’t riveted, as it felt so smooth and light. This concertina shouldn’t be confused with other later-period Wheatstone anglos- it still has a top quality set of Wheatstone reeds.

A lovely instrument that can do virtually everything most people would use a 30-Key for.
