It is not very often that you will find me having no idea who made a concertina-after 45 years and over 10,000 concertinas-but this is one.
It looks at first glance to be a Lachenal but it probably isn’t. It has a number inside which is 15154 which could only be Lachenal or Jones if the number is genuine but it doesn’t have the usual Lachenal action.
I guessed that it might be a “Tidder” -if indeed Tidder actually made the ones that we call by that name-but I have had a number of those and this has none of the feaures of a Tidder as regards markings etc.
Whoever did make it did a decent, Lachenal quality job.
It has mahogany ends, bone buttons, steel reeds and 5 fold bellows.
It has been fitted with new pads, valves, straps and tuned to concert pitch.
It is in decent condition. plays well and will make someone happy.
Just one of a massive range of anglos in stock-very few of which are on the website.
Model: 20 Key in C/G
