Another concertina that has been returned in an upgrade situation.
This is a lovely playing 32 Key Lachenal No 173667 which would be 1905-1910.
It has metal ends, bone buttons, steel reeds and 6 fold bellows.
I has been restored with new pads, valves, straps and tuned to concert pitch.
It has “S.A.” in the fret which means that it originally was made for the Salvation Army and was then pitched in Ab/.Eb. Almost all of these models have been re-pitched down to G/D to meet the demand of Morris players and English session musicians.
It plays very well for a Lachenal G/D and probably benefits from the fact that it has been used for a year.
G/D’s are very sought after so I would get in touch quickly if it is of interest.
As I write we must have about five G/D’s in stock-including a Jeffries!
