This is a Lachenal 32-Key Anglo in C/G with steel reeds. It has been fitted with new pads, valves and straps, the bellows have had a professional re-bind and been fitted with new papers, and the concertina has been tuned to concert pitch (A=440hz).

It’s difficult to make the description of a Lachenal 30+ Key with rosewood ends unique and interesting as we have so many come and go from our stock, but they tend to be the perfect instrument for somebody looking to start off anglo-playing journey without the restriction of a 20 or 26-key. This is a Lachenal from their best period for this model, and has the advantage of the ends being in pretty tidy original condition with the bellows looking very fresh after a re-bind and re-paper. It plays fairly quickly with a balanced tone- very typical of these Lachenal anglos. The extra two buttons do play notes, as opposed to the cock-crow and bird-whistle that you might find on some 32-Key instruments.

The 30-Key is a necessity for somebody looking to play the Anglo seriously, and this a good example of that without heading towards the top end of instruments in terms of price.
