This is a Lachenal 30-Key in C/G with steel reeds (serial number 184228). It has been fitted with new pads, valves and straps, and has been tuned to concert pitch.

This is a cheaper 30-Key simply due to the fact that it’s not a great player. Some concertinas were just not made to be fantastic, and this is one of them. It is, however, a much more affordable way to have an instrument with the full 30-Key layout for learning, and before upgrading to something better down the line. It is playable, and a beginner wouldn’t notice the faults- it just isn’t particularly responsive after that.
