This is what we call a “light wood/dark wood” in the trade.

It is the basic mahogany-ended Lachenal but stained a rosewood colour. They did that because it always looks a little classier and also you can’t tell it from the higher grade rosewood model at a distance-which you always could with the mahogany ones.

It has bone buttons and steel reeds.

I has been fitted with new pads, valves, straps and tuned to concert pitch.

It has a repaired crack on one action board inside -but it is solid, airtight and unlikely to give any issues.

Plays well for this sort of budget model-much much better than most of them.
