This is a Lachenal 26-Key C/G with steel reeds (serial number 189120). It has been fitted with new pads, valves and straps, and has been tuned to concert pitch.

For a late-period Lachenal, this is a really good player. It is a little more restrictive on the bellows than most Lachenals with 5-fold bellows are, but that’s much less of an issue with an Anglo than it might be with an English. It has a good set of steel reeds, and is a great, cheaper option for somebody wanting to start their Anglo journey with something than more than 20 Keys. 26 buttons allows you to do pretty much most things when it comes to Irish-style playing.
