This is a Lachenal 20-Key Anglo in C/G with steel reeds. It has been fitted with new pads and valves, and tuned to concert pitch (A=440hz).

This is a late-period Lachenal 20-Key, and concertinas around this time made by Lachenal were extremely hit and miss. The reeds on this concertina aren’t amongst Lachenal’s worst by any means, and it’s a decent little concertina for the price and for the model it is. A fairly quick player with a fairly balanced tone.

A good mid-point instrument between a cheap brass-reeded 20-Key with mahogany ends and the top-end rosewood 20-Key with steel reeds.
