This is a Jones 30-Key in C/G with steel reeds. It has been fitted with new bellows, pads, valves and straps, and has been tuned to concert pitch (A=440hz).

As you’ll be able to see from the price, this is very cheap for a metal-ended 30-Key anglo. This is because it has had to have a fair number of reeds replaced due to heavy rusting and a couple of the higher reeds aren’t the quickest responders, the strap screws are held directly into wood rather than having specific fittings, and it just doesn’t deserve a higher price tag. That said, it is a decent concertina overall, and at the price, is a good buy for someone looking to move on from their first 20-Key and explore the 30-Key layout with something a little higher quality than a brass-reeded Lachenal. The tone is quite well-rounded but with a suggestion of brightness. The layout is a Jones layout.
