This is a Jeffries 38-Key anglo in C/G. In the last few years it was fitted with new pads, valves and straps, and it has been tuned to concert pitch (A=440hz). The earlier Jeffries mark-between the buttons- suggest that this concertina dates to the late 19th century/early 20th century. The bellows are original but have had a professional rebind and new bellows papers.
The Jeffries 38-Key Anglo in C/G is the King of the Anglo concertinas. It is the go-to instrument for all top concertina players who specialise in Irish music as it features all of the notes needed without having extra, unnecessary notes adding more weight to the whole thing. This is a good example of this model, and has that classic Jeffries tone, which so many have tried to emulate without success. It is an extremely unique sound.
The concertina does have a tiny bit of veneer missing on one of the side rails.
