This is a Jeffries 38-Key Anglo in C/G. This concertina is being sold by us on behalf of a respected concertina restorer who has carried out the restoration of the instrument. It has been tuned to concert pitch (A=440hz).

The 38-Key Jeffries is the king of the Anglo concertina, with what is seen as the ideal number of keys in the context of playability without unnecessary extra weight. This instrument is a fantastic example. It is a fast player with the classic and sought-after Jeffries tone which is, up to now, impossible to imitate. Whilst the bellow are only 6-fold, you can see in the pictures just how far they extend, essentially doing the job that a 7/8-fold set of bellows would be doing.

We would obviously recommend a journey to see our selection of Jeffries when considering spending this much money, but if that isn’t possible, then be assured that this really is a fantastic concertina.
