This is a Dipper 34-Key Anglo in the key of G/D (Serial Number- 103, dated 1977). It has been fitted with new pads, valves and straps, and tuned to concert pitch (A=440hz).
As any anglo concertina player will know, finding a second hand instrument made by Colin Dipper is an almost-impossible task. This is a very early Dipper, and whilst the instruments Colin crafts have got even better over the years, this is still a wonderful instrument. It has a fast response and the right hand has a very bright tone, which really punches over the lovely balanced left hand. It also has a microphone fitted inside it with a jack-socket on the exterior of the instrument (as pictured). We’re unable to test if this is still working, but can find a way to do so if it’s of importance to you.
It really is worth mentioning again that you won’t find another Dipper available to buy instantly like this for quite some time. If this concertina was in C/G then it would be sold before it even had chance to make it to our website, but this one certainly won’t be around for long either, so get in touch today.
